In 2009, developers Atomic Games and publishers Konami announced Six Days In Fallujah, a third-person shooter based on a real battle five years prior in the then-ongoing Iraq War. This proved controversial for several reasons, enough that Konami soon dropped the game and Atomic eventually scrapped it. Well, it's coming back. Kinda. An "all-new" Six Days In Fallujah was announced today, now an FPS and being both made and published by different companies. Huh. Trailer's below.
As before, the game is based on part of the 2004's Second Battle Of Fallujah, with today's announcement saying it "recreates true stories of Marines, Soldiers, and Iraqi civilians who fought Al Qaeda". It says players will "lead a fireteam through real-life encounters enabled by unique technology that simulates the uncertainty and tactics of urban combat."

Tip of the Spear: Task Force Elite
Tip of the Spear: Task Force Elite is a multiplayer FPS with old school roots. Engage in infantry combat across urban and terrain-based maps in classic game modes, like Team King of the Hill, and master a realistic ballistics system to snipe the enemy from a mile away.

Red Jake Studios has been hard at work building a new game based on the Delta Force franchise. RJS presents to you an all-original title that is inspired by classic FPS games of the late 1990s and early 2000s: Task Force Elite!
As old school gamers that idolize the golden era of PC shooters from the late 1990s and early 2000s, we were unhappy with all of the FPS titles currently on the market in 2019. For us, nothing captured the feel or shooting mechanics of golden era FPS titles. We wanted a military-themed FPS game that’s easy to pick up and play, with lots of depth. A game with:
•Easy gun handling
•Realistic ballistics
•The ability to walk for miles/kilometers around the map and snipe a target from a mile away (with bullet drop)
•Designated spawn points and polished level design (because we hate when enemies randomly spawn behind us)
•Making custom maps and playing them with your friends
•Classic game modes, like TDM, TKOTH, CTF, and more
•Dedicated servers
•Mod support
This game is made for YOU GUYS. We want your feedback to make the game you all want.
We will be conducting a closed alpha test in the coming weeks. Please apply at and keep an eye out for an Early Access release.
If you love military FPS games from the golden era of PC gaming, come apply for our alpha test at our website, and follow us on Facebook for the latest updates!

In August, Nordic Games rebranded as THQ Nordic—a move which followed its acquisition of several free agent THQ franchises two years prior. Today, the Austrian studio has announced its purchase of NovaLogic and all of its game series.
Although Nordic hasn't announced any new games, it now owns the rights to the likes of the Delta Force series, the Comanche series, the Armored Fist series, and the F-22 series, as well as a number of other game licenses spanning NovaLogic's 30 year profile.

Speaking to the deal, NovaLogic's CEO and founder John Garcia cited Nordic's "agility and acumen" as key to moving his decision to pass the baton and help move his company forward. Nordic's business and product development director Reinhard Pollice said this:
"NovaLogic pioneered military simulations and military-themed multiplayer shooters with vehicular combat and also clearly targeted at an adult audience.
"We are extremely satisfied with the new additions to our portfolio, and also very thrilled about how to continue some of said franchises, we are open for talks in this regard if any developer approaches us with a concept for a potential sequel to any IP."
Alongside the 13 unannounced projects it is said to have in the pipeline—the majority of which are "based on former THQ owned IPs and franchises"—it'll be interesting to see what THQ Nordic does with NovaLogic's games into the future. Do you fancy remakes of anything listed above? Let us know in the comments south of here.
